The Day I Almost Drowned: A Child’s NDE

Kathryn Diamond almost drowned at the age of five.  As she watched from outside her body, she was embraced by a peaceful white light.  In the presence of angels, she saw her life “movie.”  That was the second time she almost died.

Growing us wasn’t easy after that.  Everyone called her “weird.”  She didn’t think the way her friends did.  Had someone rewired her brain when she almost drowned?  Besides, after you have a glimpse of heaven, nothing seems the same anymore.

Cool new powers started showing up, making life an adventure.  Some of them caused her a heap of trouble, but as she grew older, her powers got even stronger.

Rachel’s Magic Swing – Rachel Thorn just turned 11, but she feels like 100!  Being born sick makes a girl wise beyond her years.  What Rachel loves most is her swing – it’s her refuge, her safe place.

This story was inspired by the author’s own near-death experience at the age of 5 when she almost drowned.  The descriptions of heaven are from other kids who went there when they got really sick and then came back to tell about it.
